Former KTAR sportscaster Jude LaCava once told me that whenever he wanted a laugh down at Fox 10, the crew would watch this story about the Suns Brawl.  This interview was covered by every Phoenix tv station but not many know the real story behind it.  After the Phoenix Suns had a huge on-court fight with the New York Knicks, my producer thought it would be interesting to do a simulcast with Mike and the Mad Dog, venerable sportshosts in New York.  Jude, to his credit, found out about it and told me frankly, that "those guys will eat you alive.  I'm gonna do the interview with you."  I was no more than a referee for this amazing shouting match and tirade that Jude launched into, and the plan was to make tMike and the Mad Dog angry and then, we would hang up on them. Boy, did they turn the tables!!
