"Survivor" contestants loved the trick of making a snow angel in the sand.  We got the idea from ski  resort exercises where they found that a person was 40 to 60% more likely to be seen by search aircraft, when on the ground, making a snow angel--whether winter or summer.   We don't mind the joking because nobody forgets it!
