Preston has done over 50 television interviews around the country,  promoting outdoor survival and safety.  Perhaps the most interesting, was the time Preston was asked to set up a small survival camp in the foothills of Los Angeles, to do a live interview on the number one morning news show on Channel 5 there.  At the last minute, their reporter was unable to make it to the location, and KTLA asked Preston to host the whole program himself.
