While preparing our Stay Alive mountain and desert dvd's, we discovered that if a person makes a snow angel on the ground, their chances of being seen by search aircraft go up 60%, in winter OR in summer, so we included a novel demonstration of this in our program.  David Lettterman thought it was the perfect gag to poke fun at and got a great laugh from it, but years later, contestants on the CBS show "Survivor" used the trick to win a challenge.  Here's the TV story KPHO TV did on both episodes!
